What happens when we die?

Good job by WTVR-TV.  "CBS 6 investigates: What happens after we die...."

Psychiatrist Dr. Bruce Greyson has been studying the phenomena for 30 years.
Greyson and a small team of researchers at the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies, are seeking the answer to a question that has baffled scientists and philosophers for thousands of years — are the physical brain and conscious mind connected or are they entirely separate? Heaven is real, says neurosurgeon

D, Eban Alexander has taught at Harvard Medical School and has earned a strong reputation as a neurosurgeon. And while Alexander says he's long called himself a Christian, he never held deeply religious beliefs or a pronounced faith in the afterlife.
But after a week in a coma during the fall of 2008, during which his neocortex ceased to function, Alexander claims he experienced a life-changing visit to the afterlife, specifically heaven.

U.S. Navy Program to Study How Troops Use Intuition

“The United States Navy has started a program to investigate how members of the military can be trained to improve their “sixth sense,” or intuitive ability, during combat and other missions. The idea for the project comes in large part from the testimony of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan who have reported an unexplained feeling of danger just before they encountered an enemy attack or ran into an improvised explosive device, Navy scientists said.”

Sermon on the Mount

When you listen to these words, you don't just hear them but your soul absorbs them.

The Sermon is the longest piece of teaching from Jesus in the New Testament. It is a collection of sayings and teachings, which emphasizes his moral teaching found in the Gospel of Matthew.

Toltec Wisdom

The Toltec were 'people of knowledge' - scientists and artists who created a society to explore and conserve the traditional spiritual knowledge and practices of their ancestors. The Toltec viewed science and spirit as part of the same entity, believing that all energy - material or ethereal - is derived from and governed by the universe.

Everything we do is based on agreements we have made. In these agreements we tell ourselves who we are, what everyone else is, how to act, what is possible and what is impossible. What we have agreed to believe creates what we experience. When these agreements come from fear obstacles develop keeping us from realizing our greatest potential.

Based on ancient Toltec wisdom. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, offers a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives and our work into a new experience of effectiveness, balance and self supporting behavior.

The Karma of War

War is a symbol of the negative aspects of human character, a symbol of the pain and sorrow that comes from the abuse of power, from the misuse of leadership.

The dogs of war have been let loose upon the earth, cruelties and abominations are taking place on many parts of the earth. Over it all hangs the supreme symbol of self destruction, nuclear weapons.

How does it come about that aggressive leaders, dictators and tyrants are able to lead there people to self destruction.

The only answer is that people do not understand, do not know, and do not have the courage or the position and power to prevent these catastrophes.

Yolana Bard

Recently, I came across this Ripley’s Believe it or not newspaper clipping and I thought I would share it with you.
Out of all my mother’s press releases this was her favorite. ” I finally made it to the big time”, she said.
The fact that she shared the caption with the man who landed on his feet, made her laugh out loud.

A psychic who performs as a volunteer for law enforcement authorities, without prior knowledge has given the N.Y. City Police Dept. the exact items taken by a robbery suspect, listed those the accused still carried – and even named the caliber of a murder weapon LONG BEFORE IT WAS FOUND!

Egg Reading

Given only once a year, and only on Good Friday, these special readings have been in Melody's family for generations and have become a tradition for friends, family members and clients. This is the only time of the year when Melody gives a reading to a family member.

An ordinary egg is held in your hand for a period of time, the energy you give off is slowly absorbed by the egg. The egg is than cracked open into a glass of water and left alone until it starts forming a three dimensional floating image. Melody uses her psychic abilities to interpret the uniquely formed image into a reading. She also gives Egg Readings remotely; this is done by attaching a photo and name of the person receiving the reading on the glass.

Preparing for a Reading

I have been answering a lot of questions lately on how to prepare for a reading. I generally work with objects or photos of people you are interested in knowing about, past or present. I don’t use props like Tarot cards etc.

I will require a picture of you if the consultation is over the phone. Often Clients want to know about themselves and do not provide photos of people or pets that are close to them and that is fine; however providing photos of friends and loved ones that are close to you gives me more insight. The lives of these other beings affect your path in life and make up who you are and who you will become; like ripples in a pool of water, each one affecting the other.

My Phone Consultations are as affective as my in-person Readings. I will connect with you through your voice and image. You can use Email to send me your photos. At your request photos sent through regular mail will be returned to you with the only original audio cassette recording of the entire session.

Our time is short and the reading goes by very quickly so it is a great idea to have a list of important questions prior to the reading.

Finally I think it is worth mentioning the limitation of alcohol use prior to a reading; this has never really become an issue but it will affect the quality of your reading.

How to use a Pendulum

Pendulums can be used to access your subconscious mind. The flow of energy goes from your subconscious mind to your extremities and around your body. Tiny muscles in your fingertips are connected to the motor centers of the brain and it is these motor centers that are affected by subconscious thoughts. Your thoughts and words affect the flow of energy and the pendulum responds.
